Golfing in Cyprus is becoming increasingly popular; no doubt the perfect climate has something to do with it. Golfers can enjoy a round of golf in Cyprus any time of year. If you are looking for the perfect time to visit, from September to March the temperatures remain moderately cool (great for golfing), while April through August’s summer sun can make it a little too hot on the courses.
There are several great golf courses throughout the country to choose from including Korinium Esentepe Golf, an inland course, which boasts naturally greenery and Country Club and Cengiz Topel Golf Course, a beach course that allows a soft breeze from the sea.
Aphrodite Hills Golf Club
The first ever leisure and golf development of its kind in Cyprus, Aphrodite Hills Resort is home to a magnificent 18-hole championship golf course, spreading over 6,299 metres and overlooking the site where Aphrodite, the goddess of love, is said to have emerged from the sea. FORE! Lee Westwood ball ends up in a woman's shirt !!!
Lee Westwood hooked his drive on the 13th hole into a crowd of folks at the Ritz Charlton Golf Course as a part of the Accenture Match Play Championship.
This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.
What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)
